In addition to first aid training, those working within the construction and trades industry must meet minimum requirements, as outlined in SafeWork Australia’s First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice, in terms of first aid equipment available. Along with workers, businesses should also consider contractors, subcontractors and visitors to their premises. Whether staff work outdoors or in regional and remote areas will impact on the the type of first aid kits and additional modules that should be available in work sites or vehicles.

Emerging issues

When was the last time you had your first aid kits audited? St John SA offers restocking and auditing services to make this process quick and easy for you.
