About First Aid in Schools Our First Aid in Schools (FAiS) Program is a community initiative St John SA established in 2013. We provide this service to schools free of charge, and as a charity, we rely heavily on generous donors and sponsors to fund this program. FAiS teaches vital first aid skills to students from Reception to Year 6, covering topics such as how to call an ambulance, dealing with an unconscious person, fundamental first aid principles, and even cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for older students. The cost to teach one student is $10. With our goal to train 10,000 primary school students each year, you can understand how vital our Golf Day is to raising funds to sustain the program.
