St John SA is the leading provider of event health and medical services in South Australia. With a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, we have an unmatched state-wide capability that enables us to excel at managing a broad range of events. From major stadium concerts to school fairs, our highly skilled team are trained to respond to all manner of medical presentations. The profound impact of our health and medical services volunteers is never felt more than when a life is saved. At the 2022 St John Awards Day and Investiture Ceremony, two Save a Life awards were presented to St John volunteers for their heroic efforts in saving the lives of Michael Inverarity and Lorraine Doyle-Butler. Both Michael and Lorraine suffered a cardiac arrest and had their life saved by St John volunteers who used their extensive training to provide effective CPR and apply a defibrillator to successfully resuscitate them. Community is at the heart of everything we do at St John, and there is no greater benefit to the community than saving lives.
