POSITIVE STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

POSITIVE STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

St John’s presence in the community is visible in many forms, from our first aid volunteers in their iconic green uniforms to our first aid training venues, first aid products, defibrillator cabinets, media features and more. Being seen in the community is important to us so that we can share the positive impact of our charitable work, make the public aware of the services we offer, and ensure our message of first aid and community resilience is known by all South Australians. We greatly appreciate the support from metropolitan and regional media outlets that assist in communicating great stories about St John people and the work we do. One such example of this is the media coverage received for our Every Heartbeat Matters campaign, which has seen over 300 public access defibrillators installed in pubs and clubs throughout regional and remote South Australia. Public awareness of St John initiatives and services means that more people will have access to essential first aid training, products and services, social inclusion programs, and the opportunity to volunteer with an organisation that is all about supporting the South Australian community.

As a first aid expert, St John SA regularly provides representatives to deliver comment and advice on health-related issues for various media outlets.

Some highlights of our community engagement initiatives in the last year have included:
