St John Ambulance SA 2023 Equipment and Impact Guide
The cost to save a life
If you have been to an event in South Australia, you have more than likely seen a St John volunteer on duty in their green uniform. What you might not have seen is what goes on behind the scenes to equip them with the skills and knowledge to save a life. Not only does it take time and dedication from our volunteers to gain this vital knowledge, it also comes at a significant cost to St John to provide the necessary training and equipment. Each volunteer goes through initial training to an Event Responder level, enabling them to provide health and medical services at events. Ongoing training is provided to all volunteers who undergo an annual reaccreditation process. Additional opportunities are also provided to gain more advanced qualifications throughout their volunteer journey. Response First Aid (RFA) Kits
