Fundraising

St John Lotteries

As our primary fundraising initiatives, we rely on the support of the public through our lottery programs. By purchasing a ticket and being in the draw to win some amazing prizes, you also help to make our lifesaving work possible. From funding essential training and equipment for our volunteers, to purchasing an ambulance and other required fleet to get us around the state to support health and medical services at events and emergencies, the funds raised through the St John Lottery programs enable us to be there when the community needs us most.

In 2024, the St John Christmas Home Lottery returned, expanding to a national lottery for the first time. This enabled other St John states and territories to also benefit from funds raised to support their vital programs and services. This lottery boasted a prize pool worth over $10 million, and the lucky winner had the choice of a $5 million Grand Prize Package with homes to choose from in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or the Gold Coast, or a $4.5 million cash-out option. The winner opted for the cash-out option and needless to say, was absolutely thrilled to receive the winning phone call! In 2025, we also ran the St John Autumn Cash Lottery. This consisted of almost half a million dollars worth of cash and prizes, including luxury vehicles, incredible holidays, and cash giveaways. This proved to be incredibly popular with our supporters, who enjoyed the range of prizes on offer.
