Overview Did you know that workplaces need to have a certain number of qualified first aiders? Low-risk workplace – one first aider for every 50 workers High-risk workplace – one first aider for every 25 workers Remote high-risk workplace – one first aider for every 10 workers It’s important for nominated first aiders to attend regular training to refresh their skills and knowledge, so they can provide effective first aid when needed. We recommend that first aiders receive refresher CPR training annually and renew their first aid qualifications every three years. First Aid Training

This course is perfect for those that are time-poor and need a little more flexibility. With a strong focus on practical skills, participants can do the online theory in their own time, at their own pace, allowing you to spend less time out of the office. St John Ambulance South Australia acts as an agent for the delivery of nationally recognised training on behalf of St John Ambulance Australia (RTO 88041) who is offering this training. Some courses may contain more than one unit of competency. Please refer to stjohnsa.com.au/training for full course details. If your staff numbers exceed the capacity of one course, please contact St John SA to request additional funding. Mental Health First Aid This course imparts vital knowledge and skills that are beneficial to anyone, in work and private life, but particularly important for those in management or supervisory positions. Our 2-day Mental Health First Aid course enables participants to identify symptoms of mental disorders and learn strategies to support someone developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.
