First Aid Training Overview There is no need to travel, our comprehensive range of services can be delivered directly to you, on-site. All of our offered training courses are available on-site. To meet WHS legislations, we can also assist you with first aid drills and procedures so that you and your team are compliant with the Safe Work First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice. Safe Work Australia’s First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice stipulates that the workplace should have easy access to first aid equipment and an adequate number of workers should be trained to administer first aid for the size and risk level of your organisation. Statistics have shown a staggering 13% of employers are compliant with this Code of Practice, while only 31% of Australians feel confident responding to a workplace first aid emergency. On-Site Se vices

We offer on-site workplace assessments free of charge to all SA councils. St John will provide you with an obligation- free comprehensive report. From concerts and festivals to Christmas pageants and local fairs, our Event Health Services team is available to book for your events, to provide your staff and visitors health and wellbeing support. FREE WORKPLACE FIRST AID ASSESS ENT WORKPLACE ASSESSMENT We can also review your first aid procedures, or assist in developing them to meet the requirements of all your work sites. Moreover, we can give you advice on recommended actions beyond minimum requirements, achieving the best practice standard for your workplace. Restocking Services • On-site restocking services – we come to you • Self-managed restocking – we supply the list of contents • Online restocking – visit our website: stjohnsa.com.au/store/restocking For our on-site restocking services, we will examine stock levels and integrity of contents, check expiry dates and restock accordingly to meet WHS regulations. We also include an inventory list and affix an audit date label as required by Safe Work Australia’s First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice. First Aid Drills Regular first aid drills keep you and your team response-ready in between first aid courses. A St John trainer can visit your council and run first aid scenarios with your staff and volunteers. Our first aid drills are fully customisable and can be scheduled throughout the year. Customised Information Sessions Learn about topics relevant to your council’s area’s specific circumstances, such as common medical conditions including diabetes, asthma or anaphylaxis. We can also visit your council to provide non-accredited community first aid education sessions, for example CPR or AED demonstrations. For very remote areas, we can provide you with free resources to distribute, such as first aid fact sheets. Event Health Services 11 SOLUTIONS FREE Workplace First Aid Assessments Our St John First Aid Advisors will visit your council and assess the first aid risk for each workplace, establish the minimum requirements in terms of number of first aiders and the qualifications needed. Our team will also check the minimum number of first aid kits and additional modules and where they should be located. We will provide you with an obligation-free comprehensive report.
