St John SA Local Government First Aid Education & Compliance

First Aid Training Overview P oducts Just like first aid training, South Australian councils must meet Safe Work Australia’s minimum requirements for first aid equipment and facilities. This includes the consideration of volunteers, contractors, subcontractors and visitors at the council premises. Safe Work Australia’s First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice states the type and quantity of essential first aid equipment necessary in different settings in order to meet the minimum requirements. The type of first aid kits and additional modules required will depend upon work type and whether council staff work indoors, outdoors or in regional and remote areas. Understanding facemasks The pandemic has seen the importance of wearing face masks amongst the community to help stop the spread of COVID-19. How well do you know your masks? See below as we compare the most popular masks to understand how they perform against the spread.
